Hi Adam, it’s a pleasure to catch up with you again! You’ve been a busy man these last few years. Can you tell us what inspired you to launch Americanna in the first place?

Adam: I knew I needed to push the boundaries of this industry and deliver an experience that our fans love…without breaking their wallets.

Back when I started Americanna, you just weren’t able to find reliable cannabis products. At that time, brands were wildly overcharging people for similar products that I’m offering today.

 Americanna was the first brand in California to introduce the $15 vape cartridge. This is the epitome of our original vision! I knew we were doing something big when we were manufacturing the high-quality, consistent, and affordable products that everyone was looking for.

Americanna has gained a lot of traction with the recreational market. What do you think draws these communities to Americanna? What sets Americanna apart from your competition?

Adam: The recreational market is looking for three things: Quality, education, and unique flavors. It’s not surprising to me that so many people support Americanna because those are some of our product’s strongest features.

One of the first things someone will notice about Americanna products is the transparency of information on our packaging. SteepHill test results are featured on all of our packaging. Customers can pick up our products and know exactly what they’re getting in full detail. THC potency, THC:CBD ratio, active cannabinoids, strain type – it’s all there. We’re all about education. The recreational market appreciates authenticity, and so do I.

The second thing someone notices is the undeniable quality and sleekness of our vape products. Our oil is safe, clean, and pure from any residual solvents and chemicals that come from using a butane, or BHO extraction method like most brands use today due to inexpensive overhead cost to run.

Unlike a majority of our competitors, we use a fully organic carbon dioxide extraction process. It’s one of the biggest contributing factors to why we have such a smooth back end finish, just like the plants we extract from. The cutting-edge extraction method is also an integral building block in the foundation for all of our products. We utilize innovative technology, such as ceramic cell cartridges to further emphasize the amount of hard work we put into our oil. We go the extra mile to ensure that you have the highest quality product in your hands.

Lastly, we spend endless hours developing our unique and custom flavor profiles to ensure the Americanna experience is special. We focus on quality and innovation because with Americanna, our customers actually taste – and feel – the difference with each of our full-spectrum terpene profiles.

Your Fruity Loops strain is a personal favorite of mine! Okay — What can you tell us about 2018? What are you most excited for this year?

Adam: California’s legalization of recreational cannabis has opened a tremendous door of opportunity to me, as well as a host of new challenges. I’m overjoyed at the opportunity to expand Americanna into a brand that can service both medical patients and recreational customers.

Beyond that, I’m looking forward to pushing the development and creation of new methods of cannabis consumption. We are also extremely excited to have the opportunity to offer Americanna brand licensing opportunities to existing licensed manufacturers in other cannabis-friendly states across the nation.

We’re also just starting to delve into nanotechnology and research its potential effects on increasing the bioavailability of cannabinoids. We’ve got big things planned ahead!

What about on a more personal level?

Adam: You know, I’d love to say that I am looking forward to more time on the lake, or camping, or restoring my classic 55 Mercury. But the truth is, my true love is Americanna and I’m going to be even busier this year than last year! Americanna is my life, and I’m completely okay with that.

What are some of the biggest challenges facing Americanna, or other brands in general?

Adam: There’s a common misconception that now that recreational legalization is here, our work is done. Which is far from the truth; our work is just beginning. There already are – and will continue to be – difficult challenges. This includes more and more competition, overcoming regulatory challenges, and managing all of the unpredictability that comes with participating in this industry.

There’s still a lot to learn about what the state and local government will expect from us as a fully licensed manufacturer. One of my key words for this year is “adaptability”. I’ve almost literally had to transform myself into a chameleon these last six months just to keep up with the newest changes in the industry. It’s not always easy, but I love my customers, and I love what I do.
